Porträts

Der Glasbildhauer versteht es, die besonderen Charakterzüge des jeweiligen Porträts mit seiner Tiefsandstrahltechnik in den richtigen Blickpunkt des Betrachters zu rücken.

Anhand eines Porträtfotos, das am besten im Halbprofil aufgenommen wird, ist es ihm anschließend möglich, dieses zeichnerisch auf das Flachglas zu übertragen und es zu sandstrahlen.

Begonnen hat alles als schöne Erinnerung an Babys und deren Geburtsdaten. Heute gestaltet er jede Art von Personen- und Tierporträts oder auch gegenständliche Darstellungen wie z.B. Motoryachten und Segelyachten.

The glass sculptor applies the technique of sandblasting masterly and therefore knows how to attract the viewer's notice to the characteristic traits of a portrait.

After a semi-profile photo has been taken he can then draw and in this way transfer it to a pane of flat glass and afterwards sandblast the portrayal.

It all started with pictures on glass as pleasant keepsakes of babies and their day of birth. Today the artist designs every kind of portrayals: images of persons and animals or of objects e.g. of motor yachts and sailing yachts.
